Out of Spite was formed out of a deep passion for the Southern California music scene, driven by a commitment to full transparency and a devotion to authenticity. More than just a DIY zine, it’s a platform dedicated to showcasing exceptional, local music and amplifying the voices that exist beyond the band. With an emphasis on raw expression and unfiltered storytelling, Out of Spite celebrates the creativity and community that fuel the DIY music scene.

In this spirit, I released Volume 1: Sanctify of Suffering, a reflection of the music and stories that often go unheard.

My zine is an homage to in print media, featuring local artists, band interviews, album reviews and Xerox artwork. I can be found in Re-Animated Records, Verbatim Books, Red Brontosaurus Records, and am often vending at the Che Cafe Collective.
