Local Media San Diego is a locally owned and operated, full service media company, home to three radio stations within the San Diego community: Z90.3, Magic 92.5 and 91X. I started my position with Local Media SD as a social media intern in May of 2025, and promptly after my internship ended I was hired on as a Digital Content Producer.

Through my internship, I gained practical and real-world experience with social media management on a different scale than my work with Lip Service. I broadened my scope of platform engagement to include X and produced short-form videos engaging with trends as well as coordinating influencer collaborations with on-air personalities.

I contributed to website maintenance through creating posts for the station websites using Wordpress. I attended live events and station-sponsored festivals to film and produce recap videos for cross-posting on Youtube and on vertical, short-form oriented platforms.

Currently I manage app maintenence using Audio Space, uploading new contests, events, on-air personality profiles, show/feature segments and upcoming concerts. I also help as needed with the creation and execution of ads and GIF animations using Photoshop.

One of my sole responsibilities in this position is branded video production for the Digital Department’s Cut Thru Creative company. I develop, write and fully produce video advertisements across multiple media channels including broadcast TV and social media. I have honed learned skills from my internship including aspects of filming, editing with Final Cut Pro, color correcting and editing audio to produce a story through quality video.

In this current position I have experience with: Wordpress, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, MetaBusiness, X, Envato, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Audition, Lightroom, Audio Space and others.
